Lunch at Tokara

It was our last day in Somerset West before heading back home the following day and as I mentioned previously we had hoped to picnic at Vergelegen.  Having been cancelled due to rain – well .. a spit and a spot at 11.00 precisely :), we decided to go to Tokara for a bite to eat.  We’ve been there several times before – it’s a lovely setting .. on top of the Helshoogte Pass between Franschoek and Stellenbosch .. and the food is excellent, of course ours was served with Tokara shiraz 🙂

We still haven’t done Tokara wine tastings even though we’ve been there several times .. shocking, I know!  They also produce excellent Olive Oils under the label of The Olive Shed.  There is also a Deli and of course the restaurant.

Tokara Wine Estate is well worth a visit
