Blue and white … and Table Mountain in-between

Millions of photographs have been taken like this of Cape Town’s Table Mountain,  from Bloubergstrand.   This is the first time I’ve had the opportunity .. so this is ‘millions’ plus one  …. make it two .. or three  … …  ..

We noticed people beginning to gather and focus on the wreck just off the shoreline.   It turns out there were people on the two sections of wreckage placing explosives.  Having been in the water, and an eyesore, for 3 years or so, it was finally being blown up

Exciting stuff !!!    Ice creams in hand we sat and waited .. and waited  ..

We couldn’t wait any longer.  Apparently ‘blow-up’ time was between 11.00 -1.00.  Would loved to have witnessed it, but we needed to get going to our next stop .. Somerset West.

Time to say goodbye to Ray, Carol and Scruffy  .. many many thanks … ’til next time xxx mwah

One Response to Blue and white … and Table Mountain in-between

  1. I was in Cape Town this past weekend on a bloggers tour and got to see my mountain again. I love Table Mountain doesn’t matter where you look from.
