My hubby officially retired today …

I have to share the following ….

We moved to Johannesburg from Salisbury (Harare), Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) in 1974 when hubby started working for Map Studio as a cartographer.  After a few years, he moved to the company where he was until now.  He retired two years ago but has worked on contract for the same company since then.  That has now come to an end and he is now a full-time retiree/pensioner 🙂  !!!

I have kept a magazine from the Sunday Times newspaper dated November 30, 1975 in which is an article on the making of a map of the Historical Monuments of South Africa  hubby was working on for the paper … !!!

Cool hey ?

That was just one chapter in my hubby’s working career

So many years, so many paths crossed, so many places travelled, so many colleagues and friends here and overseas …

So many years to come … together .. you and me xxx

Love you forever, darling hubby xxx mwah xxx

p.s.   Historial Monuments map went on sale for R1,75 !!
