Lunch at Higher Ground

Hubby and I joined Jeanette and family, and their friends Madi and family for a lunch celebrating Lance’s forthcoming birthday at Higher Ground Restaurant which is in the grounds of St Stithians College, which is situated on the borders of Randburg and Sandton.   It’s perched on ‘higher ground’ overlooking a sports field, the school grounds and beyond …

The panoramic view from the patio is stunning … in the distance is Sandton Business Centre …

To the right in the distance are the buildings and tower of Hillbrow …

The children had a ball running around and playing cricket on the field …

Delicious meal – between us : hamburger, curry and beef fillet served on a bed of sweet potato salad (I had that .. it was yummy! ) and the kiddies had hamburgers, and a pasta (there is a kiddies menu).  Quite extensive wine list – we had a Meerlust Pinot Noir … perfect for a lunch with a view !!

A fabulous meal out … grownups can sit back and relax while kiddies play far away out of ear-shot but still in view 🙂

A restaurant on a school ground? Now there is an excellent idea for extra funds for a school. And the view is superb
