Fernkloof Nature Reserve, Hermanus #1

Following on from a Wordless Wednesday post I did a week or so ago, here are some more images from the short trail (blue route) in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve, hubby and I walked, when we were last in Hermanus in May this year.  We need a bit more time in Hermanus to do the longer trails

The Visitors Centre has an information board and specimens of flora in the Reserve ..

It was drizzling when we started but soon cleared ..

The path leads up the mountain side for a short way and then levels off and follows the contour of the mountain …

… passing indigenous low growing fynbos and plants …

.. passing white protea with a view to Hermanus and the sea – it’s there .. promise!!

Dinkie cars on road = car park and Visitor’s Centre

Ideal spot for a bench … to enjoy the view of mountains, Hermanus and Walker Bay ..

… and watch a round of golf !!

I’ll stop here .. perfect place to pause and ponder .. on the bench!!!

Watch this space for Fernkloof Nature Reserve  # 2 !!

Beautiful views, beautiful scenery and beautiful fynbos. What more can you ask for?
